Keeping one of Britain’s oldest high street names in the public eye is helping a Bromsgrove marketing and design consultancy to focus on the future.
B1 is one of the fastest growing creative agencies in the Midlands, has been hired to help market Dollond and Aitchison’s opticians.
The work has included launching the flagship store in London’s Regent Street along with other outlets throughout the country.
Managing director Jason Manning said: "This is a great result for our business with one of the best-known names on the high street and marks another success in what has been an incredible period of growth for us. We have been working with D&A and their franchise partners on advertising, design, promotional activities and sponsorship. To be selected by such a major name operating in a hugely competitive market is a great tribute to the abilities of our team. Our vision is to continue the growth that has seen us quadruple the number of businesses we serve. Our marketing is tailored to meet the needs of each store. The launches in Regent Street and Kensington have been geared to an affluent, fashion conscious market. But in other places, where the profile is different, we have changed the prescription accordingly."
B1 works with more than 40 clients throughout the Midlands and overseas. The company has invested £500,000 in a new headquarters in Bromsgrove.
D&A has 400 branches throughout the country and employs 3,000 people. It was founded 250 years ago and has its UK headquarters in Aston.
In 1999, D&A was bought by the Italian frame maker De Rigo, which is the largest manufacturer of glasses and lenses in Europe.
Mr Manning said: "D&A is a hugely important addition to our portfolio of business to consumer work. This is a brand that everyone knows and we are delighted to have them on board with our team."
