MD means business in classroom

Midland entrepreneur Jason Manning has been given the task of helping enthuse the next generation of business leaders.

Jason, managing director of creative consultancy b1, was asked by Young Enterprise to work with schools in Worcestershire to help get young people interested in business.

The role means he will be working with middle school children aged between nine and 12.

The father-of-three said: "It is essential that we get young people to want to be entrepreneurs. Without this in the next generation there will not be enough people creating the wealth to support our ageing population and pay for vital services. Young children are very impressionable and that can be negative. How much better it is to plant a positive seed. I want to show these children that going into business can be great fun. It offers huge opportunities and the freedom to make choices that are not available working for others."

His company recently moved from Birmingham into new £500,000 headquarters at Buntsford Gate in Bromsgrove.
